Principal Consultant

A resourceful Human Resources consultant with over 28 years of hands-on experience working with small and large businesses alike. As a former business-owner herself, Arenas has a deep and practical understanding of business needs and challenges. She possesses a strong bias for action which brings immediate positive change and tremendous benefit to all of her clients.

An energetic business partner and coach, she is highly effective at building corporate infrastructure and importing formality to organizations. Adept at managing large-scale human resources projects that improve efficiency while meeting deadlines and budget requirements. Arenas also has a strong competency for engaging employees proactively while changing individual behavior which always leads to a positive organizational culture. 

Arenas has a Masters from Penn State University in Human resources and Employment Relations. Her thesis material has been adopted as part of Penn State's instructional curriculum. She is a Certified Professional by the Society of Human Resource Management.

An innovative, skilled & highly effective risk professional with a proven 30-year record of investigation, administration and fraud control for some of the nation’s largest commercial insurance carriers and third party administrators.  

Uniquely qualified in understanding and managing risk within diverse multi-cultural business environments. Arenas carries decades of experience working closely with businesses from 20 to 500+ employees. As a safety consultant, he has provided expertise and direction in the structuring of General Industry and Construction safety programs throughout Southern California.

 

Due to his fluency in the Spanish language and his deep understanding of cultural nuances in the work-place, he is an expert in grass roots cultural change. This type of change allows organizations to reach optimal employee performance while achieving key financial objectives.

Arenas has assisted liability carriers and businesses in the defense and litigation of multi-million dollar wrongful death and severity cases for over three decades. He has also successfully represented multiple clients in the daunting CalOSHA appeals process and is a trusted resource for the reduction of fines and the re-classification of serious violations. 

As President and CEO of a mid-size, claims adjusting and administration firm (1998-2010), he directed the administration of multi-line claims for several Insurance Programs throughout California.  Arenas has been recognized as an industry expert by the Insurance Journal Magazine and serves as a part-time a media contributor for Wells Publishing/Claims Journal Magazine.
